Hunt to Participate in NCAA Skills Challenge

HAMILTON, N.Y. -- Colgate women’s ice hockey senior Sam Hunt (Calgary, Alta.) was selected to participate in the NCAA Frozen Four Skills Challenge April 10 at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.

Hunt is one of six players selected to compete while classmate Kiira Dosdall (Fairfield, Conn.) is one of seven selected as an alternate. Hunt is the first player to represent Colgate in the skills challenge since Allison Paiano did in 2006.

Hunt led the Raiders in scoring this season with 34 points off 14 goals and 20 assists. Hunt finished her career as Colgate's all-time division I scoring leader with 141 points.

The Frozen Four Skills Challenge will highlight the "Friday Night at the Frozen Four". The night will also include the presentation of the Hobey Baker Memorial Award, the Hockey Humanitarian Award and the announcement of the American Hockey Coaches Association All-American teams.
