Team Notes: Colgate Taking to the Road

HAMILTON, N.Y. -– Colgate travels to Connecticut on Friday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m., and will take on Providence Saturday, Oct. 11 at 4 p.m., during the Raiders first road trip of the season. Live stats will be available for both games. Links will be provided on the Colgate Athletics Web site.

The Friars lead the all-time series with the Raiders, 3-1-2 and are unbeaten in the last four meetings, including last seasons 5-5 tie at Starr Rink. The Huskies and the Raiders have met twice, with Connecticut holding a 2-0 advantage. The Huskies won last season 2-1 in Hamilton, N.Y.

Colgate is coming off a 4-3 home opening win over Syracuse (Oct. 1). Junior Katie Stewart (Exeter, Ont.) led the Raiders scoring with a goal and assist, en route to being named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week. Senior tri-captains Elin Brown (Calgary, Alta.) and Sam Hunt (Calgary, Alta.) combined for a goal and three assists in the victory.
