Know Your Knights ... Katelyn Ptolemy

The Clarkson University Women's Hockey team’s leader as the Golden Knights’ captain, Katelyn Ptolemy provides a veteran presence on the blueline. A mainstay on the Clarkson defense since her freshman campaign, Ptolemy has been a key reason the Knights’ have boasted one of the top team defenses in the country throughout her four years. She entered her senior campaign having skated in 111 career games along with logging ample time with Canada’s national team program.  Ptolemy is also a strong student having been named to ECAC Hockey’s All-Academic team in each of her first three seasons at Clarkson. Ptolemy helped to lead the Green and Gold to a very productive 2011 portion of the schedule. The Knights enter the New Year with a 12-4-4 overall record and a second-place 6-3-1 ECAC Hockey mark.
