Coming off a successful lengthy road trip, the Clarkson
University Women’s Hockey team plays at home for the first
time in 54 days when its hosts Central NY rivals Colgate and
Cornell University at Cheel Arena this weekend.
The Golden Knights face off against Colgate on Friday at 7:00
p.m., and then battle Cornell on Saturday in a 4:00 p.m. contest.
Following the afternoon encounter against the Big Red, the Green
and Gold will hold their annual "Skate with a Knight"
festivities.
Guided by second-year co-head coaches Shannon and Matt Desrosiers,
Clarkson is ranked third in both the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine
and USCHO.com national polls. Enjoying the best season ever in the
history of the seven-year-old program, the Knights stand at 17-5-3
overall, and hold down first place in ECAC Hockey with an 11-1-1
league mark. With nine games remaining in the regular season,
Clarkson is one point ahead of Cornell in the conference standings,
but also has a game in hand over the Big Red.
