Natural Puck-Stopper

The following article featuring Clarkson goaltender Laura Dahm appeared in the October 1 issue of the Watertown Daily Times.

POTSDAM — With all the success she's had the past two seasons at Clarkson University, it's hard to remember that Lauren Dahm did not have the ideal start to her college career.

Dahm, Clarkson's starting goalie, was mostly a backup as a freshman and was playing behind a classmate, Eve Grandmont-Berube, so there were no guarantees she'd ever get much playing time.

But leaving the program to start over somewhere else was never really a thought for the Baldwinsville native, who worked hard in the offseason and wound up winning the starting job as a sophomore. Grandmont-Berube was the one who eventually wound up leaving the program.
