Team Notes: Clarkson Looks to Pad Lead in Busy Week

Winners of four straight and unbeaten in its last five games,
the Clarkson University Women’s Hockey team will look to
strengthen its hold on first-place in the ECAC Hockey standings as
it plays three games this week. Clarkson travels 11 miles down
Route 11 on Tuesday night to battle arch-rival St. Lawrence
University in Canton. Faceoff is 7:00 p.m. and can be heard live on
WQTK 93.7 FM and over the internet on Clarkson Hockey Broadcast
Central.
The Golden Knights Knights host Rensselaer and Union at Cheel
Arena this weekend.
Guided by second-year head coaches Shannon and Matt Desrosiers,
Clarkson is ranked third in the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey
Magazine national polls with a 19-5-3 overall record. With seven
games remaining in the regular season, the Green and Gold, led by
senior captain Britney Selina (Thornhill, ONT) and senior assistant
captain Carlee Eusepi (Oakville, ONT) stand atop the ECAC Hockey
standings with a 13-1-1 conference mark. The Knights, with a game
in hand on their nearest challengers, are four points ahead of
second-place Cornell and seven points in front of Harvard,
Princeton and Rensselaer, who are tied for third.
