Add another impressive showing in a grueling Ironman event by Clarkson co-head coach Shannon Desrosiers. At the Ford Ironman Lake Placid on Saturday, July 25, Desrosiers finished 118th out of 2,247 competitors.

She was among the first 10 females to cross the finish line, including some professional athletes, with an overall time of 10 hours, 31 minutes and 14 seconds.

Desrosiers swam 2.4 miles (1:06:58), biked 112 miles (5:40:26), and ran another 26.2 miles (3:36:19) in the competition to finish first in her division (25-29-year olds). Last year at Lake Placid, she was 14th among women and second in her age group with a time of 10:42.32, the 190th overall finisher among 2,340 participants.

For the second consecutive year Desrosiers has qualified for the Ironman in Kona, HI to be held this October.
