Team Notes: Clarkson Opens Playoffs at St. Lawrence

After the conclusion of a hard fought regular season, the
Clarkson University Women’s Hockey team will be making its
fifth consecutive appearance in the ECAC Hockey playoffs when it
faces St. Lawrence University in quarterfinal action this weekend
in Canton.
The Golden Knights, the seventh seed, will battle the
second-seeded Saints in a best-of-three game series at Appleton
Arena beginning on Friday at 7:00 p.m. The North Country rivals
will play again on Saturday at 4:00 p.m., and a deciding third game
will be held on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. if necessary. Tickets
prices are $3 for adults, and $1 for college students (MUST show
ID).
The three other quarterfinal series are: #8 Cornell (8-9-5,
12-12-5) at #1 Harvard (16-4-2, 17-9-3), #6 Rensselaer (11-8-3,
16-13-4) at #3 Princeton (15-6-1, 18-9-2) and #5 Colgate (12-7-3,
18-12-3) at #4 Dartmouth (13-5-4, 16-8-4). Once the quarterfinals
are completed, the remaining teams will travel to the home of the
highest seed for the semifinals on Saturday, March 7, with the
championship to follow on Sunday, March 8.
