Three Golden Knights Selected to Play for ECAC Hockey All-Star Team
While the Clarkson University Women’s Hockey team enjoys a
lengthy break, three Golden Knights will get a jump on their
teammates in returning to competitive play. Seniors Britney Selina,
Dominique Thibault and Carlee Eusepi have been selected to play for
the ECAC Hockey All-Star Team that will take on the 2010 U.S.
Women's National Team Sunday, January 3, at TD Bank Sports Center
on the campus of Quinnipiac University as part of Team USA's
2009-10 Qwest Tour.
The tour was created for Team USA to challenge elite-level
competition in preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in
Vancouver, B.C. The Qwest Tour, presented by Qwest Communications,
features the 2009-10 USA Women's National Team playing a 10-game
domestic tour in preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in
Vancouver, B.C.
The three Clarkson standouts are among 21 student-athletes on the
ECAC Hockey All-Star team.
Clarkson all-time leading scorer and the top playmaker in the
league this season, Selina has recorded 20 points through 19 games,
including a team-high 14 assists. The Golden Knights’
captain, Selina, a native of Thornhill, ONT, is a two-time 2009
third-team ECAC Hockey All-Star (2008, 2009). Through 127 career
games, the senior center has amassed 132 career points (46-86).
A transfer from the University of Connecticut, Thibault has made a
big impact in her first year in the conference. The
L’Original, ONT native, is ECAC Hockey’s leading scorer
with 22 points on 11 goals and 11 assists through 19 games. The
senior center has recorded three power-play goals, one shorthanded
marker and three game-winners.
Tied for third in the conference for scoring among defenseman,
Eusepi has tallied 10 points on three goals and seven assists. The
senior assistant captain from Oakville, ONT, has scored twice on
the power play and has netted a pair of game-winning goals along
with posting a +9 plus/minus rating through 18 games. Eusepi was a
2008 and 2009 third-team ECAC Hockey All-Star.
Team USA has already defeated the WCHA All-Stars, 6-1, on Sept.
25, North Dakota on Oct. 10 by a score of 11-1, and Hockey East
All-Stars by a count of 4-0 on Nov. 22.
The game is scheduled for a 2 p.m. start. Tickets are $10 for
adults, $5 for children, and a $3 group rate for 15-plus. Tickets

Ranked third in the latest USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey
Magazine national polls, Clarkson, guided by second-year co-head
coaches Shannon and Matt Desrosiers, owns a 14-4-1 overall record
and stands atop the ECAC Hockey standings with an 8-1-0 league
mark. The Golden Knights, who swept Quinnipiac (2-1) and Princeton
(3-0) in their last action on December 4-5, are off until early
January. Clarkson returns to action on January 8-9 when it opens a
six-game road trip at Union and Rensselaer.
