Selina Named USCHO.com Offensive Player of Week
Clarkson sophomore forward Britney Selina was named the USCHO Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts in helping the Golden Knights to a 1-0-1 weekend mark against No. 2 Mercyhurst.
Selina, who was named ECAC Hockey Player of the Week, scored two goals and added an assist in the weekend's pair with Mercyhurst. The forward out of Thornhill, Ont. led Clarkson in its successful defense of the North Country, and upped her team-leading scoring to seven goals and 10 assists in a dozen games this season ... with five of those points coming in her last three games. In large part because of her production, the Knights are now ranked 10th in the USCHO D-I poll, and are tied for the longest current unbeaten streak in the nation (seven games).
