• Three League Teams Selected in NCAA Championship Field

    INDIANAPOLIS---The National Collegiate Women’s Ice Hockey Committee announced today the field of eight teams which will compete for the 16th National Collegiate Women’s Ice Hockey Championship. Quarterfinal competition will be conducted on the campuses of the participating institutions, while the 2016 Women’s Frozen Four will be hosted by the University of New Hampshire, March 18 and 20, at the Whittemore Center Arena in Durham, New Hampshire.

    ALBANY, N.Y. -- The 2015-16 coaches’ preseason all-league team is made up of five seniors and one junior, which all ranked near the top of every statistical category over the last two seasons in league play. As voted on by the league's 12 head coaches, players from two different teams - last season’s co-regular season champions Clarkson and Harvard make-up the preseason all-league team, led by the Crimson with four student-athletes from its senior class.

    ALBANY, N.Y. -- Fresh off a trip from last season’s national championship game, Harvard has been selected the team to beat in the 2015-16 regular season, according to voting by the ECAC Hockey (@ecachockeyMWD1) coaches as part of the preseason poll and all-league team selection process. Earning eight first-place votes and 118 points this marks the second time since 2008 the Crimson is tabbed with the distinction by the coaches.
  • 2014-15 All-Academic Team Comprises 181 Student-Athletes

    ALBANY, N.Y. - One hundred and eighty-one student-athletes representing the ECAC Hockey’s 12 women’s programs were named to the 2014-15 ECAC Hockey All-Academic team. One hundred and four of this year’s student-athletes were also named to the team last year, 60 have the distinction of receiving the honor the last three seasons and 18 received the recognition over the last four years. Of the 12 institutions, Rensselaer led the way with 20 honorees, followed by Yale and Harvard with 19 and Quinnipiac with 18 each.
