Championship Weekend to be Carried on ESPN3
ALBANY, N.Y. -- ECAC Hockey announced today that it has
collaborated with ESPN3 to deliver the 2013 ECAC Women’s
Hockey Semifinals and Championship games live in HD-quality
Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10 from historic Lynah Rink on
the campus of Cornell University.
"The agreement with ESPN3 for the upcoming women’s
championship is a great benefit to the league,” said ECAC
Hockey Commissioner Steve Hagwell. "It provides an opportunity for
fans across the country to see the league’s marquee
women’s event and for the league to display its women’s
championship level of hockey.”
The 2013 ECAC Women’s Hockey Semifinals will take place
Saturday, March 9 at 1 p.m. with a re-match of last year’s
championship game as defending champion St. Lawrence takes on host
Cornell followed by Harvard facing-off against Clarkson in the
second semifinal game at 4 p.m.
ESPN3 is available in more than 83 million households nationwide to
fans who receive their Internet or video subscription from an
affiliated provider. It is accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on
smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app and through ESPN on
Xbox LIVE to Gold members.
The ECAC Hockey Tournament winner will be granted an automatic
berth into the eight-team NCAA Tournament field. The NCAA
Tournament is set to begin on March 15 with the Frozen Four taking
place on March 22-24 in Minneapolis, M.N.

SATURDAY, MARCH 9 (SEMIFINAL GAME ONE)
St. Lawrence vs. Cornell - 1 p.m.
SATURDAY, MARCH 9 (SEMIFINAL GAME TWO)
Harvard vs. Clarkson - 4 p.m.
SUNDAY, MARCH 10 (CHAMPIONSHIP GAME)
Championship Game - 1 p.m.
