Weekly Release: Last Tune-ups

ALBANY, N.Y. - During the last week of tune-up games before the League play begins, all of the ECAC Hockey teams except Cornell were in action in nonconference matchups or exhibition games. Brown, Dartmouth, Princeton, and Yale made their regular season debuts over the weekend as well.

At Clarkson 2, No. 4/4 Boston University 2 (ot) & At Clarkson 2, New Hampshire 1
*The Golden Knights extending their unbeaten streak to six games last weekend (4-0-2)
*Clarkson recorded a milestone win for the program Saturday over UNH. In its ninth year as a Division I team, Clarkson owns a 150-111-38 all-time record since the 2003-04 campaign, including a 4-1-3 mark this season.

At No. 5/6 Boston College 5, Quinnipiac 0
*Junior netminder Victoria Vigilanti made 30 saves in net for Quinnipiac, while her counterpart Boyles turned away 11 shots for the Eagles. Overall, the Eagles held a 35-to-11 shot advantage.
*The Eagles had out shot the Bobcats 25-3, heading into the final frame.

St. Lawrence 6 at Niagara 3, At St. Lawrence 2, New Hampshire 2 (ot), & No. 4/4 Boston U. 3, St. Lawrence 2
*After trailing 3-0 vs. the Purple Eagles, the Saints would show their resiliency, tying the score at 3-3 thanks to three goals in a span of 6:04 to set up a dramatic third period, which they would pull away netting three other goals.
*St. Lawrence finished 1-of-9 on the power play, while UNH was 1-of-7 as the two teams battled to an overtime tie.
* Kerrin Sperry and goals from three different skaters helped Boston University hand at St. Lawrence its first loss of the season.

At Brown 10, Sacred Heart 0
*The Bears scored 10 goals in a game for the first time since 2003.
*The Bears were lead by senior co-captain Katelyn Landry, who netted a hat-trick.

Robert Morris 5 at Rensselaer 1 & Robert Morris 4 at Rensselaer 2
*Behind two goals and an assist from rookie center Rebecca Vint, Robert Morris defeated RPI, 5-1, in the 4th Annual Pack the House Night at the Houston Field House Friday.
*The Colonials, in the middle of a nine-game road trip, would complete the sweep of the Engineers the following afternoon.

At Princeton 5, No. 8/8 Northeastern 3 & Niagara 3 at Princeton 1
*Princeton's top line of sophomores Sally Butler, Olivia Mucha and Denna Laing combined for nine points and would team up for the Tigers' first two goals in the win over the Huskies.
*The Tigers outshot Niagara 28-19, including a 12-2 edge in the third, but couldn't overcome a two-goal deficit falling 3-1 at Baker Rink Saturday.

Niagara 5 at Yale 1 & No. 8/8 Northeastern 7 at Yale 0
*Forward Kelsey Welch had a pair of goals and an assist to lead Niagara to a 5-1 win over Yale in the Bulldogs' season opener Friday night at Ingalls rink. Sophomore forward Jackie Raines scored the Bulldogs' lone goal.
*Freshman Lucie Povova and senior tri-captain Stephanie Gavronsky each netted twice in Northeastern’s win over Yale.

At No. 4/4 Boston College 4, No. 10/10 Dartmouth
*Kelly Foley totaled three points on two goals and an assist in the 10th-ranked Big Green's 4-3 loss at fifth-ranked Boston College Sunday
*In the final seconds of the game with the teams tied at three, the Eagles' Emily Field cleaned up a rebound and beat sophomore Lindsay Holdcroft for the game-winning goal. It capped a comeback by Boston College from a 3-0 deficit.

Union 4 at Syracuse 3 (ot) & At Syracuse 5, Union 3
*With 10 seconds left in overtime, senior Chelsey Heinhuis' goal gave Union a 4-3 win over Syracuse Friday night at Tennity Ice Pavilion.
*Facing a three-goal deficit entering the third period, Syracuse responded with its highest third period goal total in program history with five in the final 20 minutes to overtake the Dutchwomen, 5-3.

Colgate 3 at Syracuse 1
*Colgate extended its winning streak to three games Wednesday night when it defeated Syracuse, 3-1 in a mid-week clash.
*Kimberly Sass had 28 saves for the Raiders while Kallie Billadeau led Syracuse in goal with 16 stops.
