Dartmouth Shuts Down Colgate

HAMILTON, N.Y. -- The Dartmouth women's hockey team carried its momentum over
from the win over Cornell on Friday and shutout Colgate on Saturday, 2-0. The
Big Green improved to 3-2-1 overall and 3-0-1 in ECAC Hockey. The Raiders fell
to 4-7-1 and 1-3-1 in the conference.

Dartmouth took an early lead in the opening period with junior Camille Dumais
(Beaconsfield, Quebec) scoring her third goal of the season off a deflected shot
one minute into the opening period. Freshman Morgan Illikainen (Grand Rapids,
Minn.) set up the goal for the assist.

The Big Green stretched the lead to 2-0 on senior Jenna Hobeika's (Alpine, N.J.)
second goal of the season on assists from Dumais and Illikainen. Illikainen now
has three assists on the year and it marked her first multi-point game.

Sophomore Lindsay Holdcroft (Pittsburgh, Pa.) earned her second shutout of the
season and the sixth of her career, stopping all 20 shots she faced. It marked
her second shutout in three games.

Both teams struggled on the power play with Dartmouth finishing 0-for-8 and Colgate
ending 0-for-6. The Big Green took 23 shots compared to 20 for the Raiders. Dartmouth
committed a season-high seven penalties for 14 minutes, while Colgate had 10 for
31 minutes.

Dartmouth is now tied for second place in ECAC Hockey with Clarkson and Princeton
with seven points. Quinnipiac leads the conference with nine points.

The Big Green return home next weekend when it hosts St. Lawrence on Friday at
7 p.m. and Clarkson on Saturday at 4 p.m.
