PRINCETON, N.J. (11/4/11) - Sophomore Olivia Mucha's power-play
goal in the second period would be all the Princeton women's hockey
needed as the Tigers earned a 1-0 win over Brown on Friday, Nov. 4
at Baker Rink.
Mucha scored at 6:24 in the second when she tapped in a Sally
Butler shot. Denna Laing sent the puck out in front and Butler
snuck in between Aubree Moore's legs and Mucha added the insurance
with her third goal of the season.
The score did not reflect how the game was played as Princeton
dominated the ice with 39 shots while Brown had nine.
Princeton senior netminder Rachel Weber would make all nine stops
in her first shutout of the season, and 10th of her career. Moore
finished with 38 saves for the Bears.
Princeton improves to 3-1-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the ECAC, while
Brown falls to 1-2-1 and 0-2-1 in league play.
The Tigers host Yale tomorrow, Nov. 5 at 4 p.m. The Bulldogs lost
at Quinnipiac 3-0 this evening.
