Women’s Championship Pairings Set
ALBANY, N.Y. -- ECAC Hockey today announced the pairings for the
2011 ECAC Women's Hockey Championship featuring an eight-team
tournament field comprising the top eight seeds based upon the
final regular-season standings.
The eight teams, in order of seed, are Cornell, Harvard,
Dartmouth, Princeton, Quinnipiac, Clarkson, St. Lawrence and
Rensselaer. The 28th annual championship will commence with
quarterfinals competition Friday, February 25 at on-campus
facilities. The quarterfinals winners shall advance to the
championship semifinals, which shall be conducted Thursday, March
3.
The 2011 championship will continue to follow the format adapted
for last season’s championship for the semifinals and
championship games. The format for the semifinals and championship
game such that the semifinals and championship game shall be
conducted on the campuses of the highest remaining seeds.
The NHL Network will broadcast the 2011 ECAC Women’s Hockey
Championship game live in HD Saturday, March 5.
