League Championship Game to Air on NHL Network
ALBANY, N.Y. -- ECAC Hockey announced today that it has
partnered with NHL Network to broadcast the 2011 ECAC Women’s
Hockey Championship game live in HD Saturday, March 5.
"The partnership with NHL Network for the upcoming women’s
championship is very exciting,” said ECAC Hockey Commissioner
Steve Hagwell. "It provides a unique excitement for the league to
showcase its women’s championship level of hockey and an
opportunity for fans across the country to see the historic annual
March event.”
The 2011 ECAC Women’s Hockey Championship takes place
Saturday, March 5 at 3 p.m. from the venue of the highest remaining
seed remaining in the league’s annual postseason tournament.
The game is being produced by Cox Sports TV and will feature Mike
Logan handling the play-by-play commentary and Sonny Watrous as the
game’s on-air analyst. The NHL Network is available on most
US cable systems. It is channel 215 on Direct TV and 403 on Dish
Network.
