Battle for League Championship on NHL Network
ALBANY, N.Y. -- The 2011 ECAC Hockey Championship game between Dartmouth (22-10) and Cornell (29-2-1) shall air live in HD at 3 p.m. from Lynah Rink on the NHL Network.
The game features No. 3 seed Dartmouth, which ranks No. 10 in the latest national poll, facing top-seeded Cornell, the No. 2-ranked team in the nation. The Big Green advanced to the championship game by defeating Harvard, 4-1, Thursday in semifinals action in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Cornell earned its berth in the championship game by fending off Quinnipiac, 4-3, Thursday in semifinals play at Lynah Rink. The two teams split the regular-season series -- Cornell posting a 6-1 triumph November 6 at Lynah Rink; Dartmouth scoring a 4-2 win February 18 at Thompson Arena.
The 2011 ECAC Hockey Championship game is being produced by Cox
Sports TV and will feature Mike Logan handling the play-by-play
commentary and Sonny Watrous as the game’s on-air analyst.
The NHL Network is available on most US cable systems. It is
channel 215 on Direct TV and 403 on Dish Network.
