League Well Represented in Polls
ALBANY, NY – The top three teams in the ECAC Hockey standings are represented in this week’s national polls. No. 2/2 Cornell (No. 2/2), No. 9 Harvard, and No. 10 Dartmouth have been selected to the national polls by its voters in the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Magazine polls released Monday, November 22 and Tuesday, November 23.
Cornell remains a perfect 6-0-0 in League action, as the Big Red posted two shutouts last weekend blanking Princeton, 1-0 and stopping Quinnipiac, 3-0. Cornell, currently riding a nation’s best four-game winning streak, has only given up 10 goals in nine games this season (1.11 G/GM), which is best is the nation. Cornell continues to holds onto the No. 2 position in both national polls. The Big Red are 8-1-0 overall and 6-0-0 in conference play in the 2010-11 season. The Crimson will travel to the Midwest to take on No. 7/7 Minnesota this Friday (11/26) and Sunday (11/28).
Despite posting a 1-2 record last week Dartmouth remains in the No. 10 position in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll (15 points). The Big Green were involved in three tights finishes last week; stopping Providence, 3-2 Tuesday and falling to Harvard in the home and home series over the weekend.
