Weekly Release: Home Sweet Home

ALBANY, N.Y. - Home ice advantage was an understatement during the first full weekend of ECAC Hockey action, as only one of the hosting teams suffered a defeat in the 12 league contests.  The home teams posted a 4-1-1 mark Friday and a stellar 5-0-1 record Saturday.  Clarkson, Cornell, Quinnipiac, and St. Lawrence each recorded sweeps of its visitors in league play.

Clarkson received a late goal from sophomore Katelyn Ptolemy who helped the Golden Knights survive a scare from Brown with a 1-0 victory at Cheel Arena Friday.  Lauren Dahm made nine saves for her third shutout of the season and the 13th of her career.  Katie Jamieson played well in net for Brown, making numerous key saves, especially in the third period.  She finished with 33 saves as Clarkson outshot Brown 34-9.   A pair of late scores and another solid effort in goal by Dahm lifted the Golden Knights past a stubborn Yale squad Saturday afternoon at Cheel Arena to complete the weekend sweep.  The Golden Knights, who have won five straight including two consecutive shutouts, improved their record to 9-1-1 overall and remain unbeaten at home with a 8-0-1 mark.
