League Partners with SKOR Sports

ALBANY, N.Y. -- ECAC Hockey announced today that it has entered into a multi-year partnership with SKOR Sports.  SKOR Sports recently teamed up with the league during its 2010 men’s and women’s championships and will now become the “Official Brand Apparel of ECAC Hockey.”

“We are thrilled with the new relationship that has been established with SKOR Sports,” said Steve Hagwell, ECAC Hockey Commissioner.  “SKOR Sports will provide the league high-quality, trendy apparel from the sports industry for our student-athletes and administrators.  The items received by participants in our recent championships were well-received, and we look forward to a lengthy and productive partnership.”

“Partnering with the ECAC Hockey is another great example of our commitment to forging best-in class partnerships to serve the needs of our customers and its fans,” commented Glenn Cook, President and CEO of SKOR Sports. “SKOR Sports will develop a proprietary lifestyle brand of ECAC Hockey apparel and other emblematic products that will be available on the league’s Web site.  All of us at SKOR Sports are thrilled to enter into this agreement with the ECAC Hockey and look forward to carrying on a tradition of offering championship products which will be worn and used by the league’s participants for many seasons to come.”

SKOR Sports made its ECAC Hockey debut at the 2010 men’s and women’s league championships, with the participants in the final round receiving backpacks from the company’s bag line and hoodies from its apparel collection.

SKOR Sports was also tagged with one of the league’s postseason awards on both the men’s and women’s side.  An annual award, voted on by the league’s coaches recognizing the team which exemplifies sportsmanship, tenacity, commitment, and innovation will now be known as the SKOR Sports Athletics Trophy.  In the upcoming season SKOR Sports will initiate a season-long fan contest with ECAC Hockey promoting and developing brand awareness for its men’s championship new home at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.
