2010 Championship

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The 2010 ECAC Women's Hockey Championship featured an eight-team tournament field comprising the top eight seeds based upon the final regular-season standings.

The eight teams, in order of seed, were Cornell, Clarkson, Harvard, Quinnipiac, Rensselaer, Princeton, St. Lawrence, and Colgate. The 27th annual championship commenced with quarterfinals competition Friday, February 26.

The 2010 championship featured a new format for the semifinals and championship games. In April 2009, the League administrators and coaches voted to amend the format for the semifinals and championship game such that the semifinals and championship game shall be conducted on the campuses of the highest remaining seeds. Previously, the highest remaining seed of the four semifinalists hosted the semifinals and championship games.
