Pair Positioned in National Polls

ALBANY, NY -- Clarkson and Harvard continue to merit respect in the latest USCHO.com Poll released Monday, January 25 and latest USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll released Tuesday, January 26.  The Golden Knights are in the No. 3 position, while the Crimson sit in the No. 7 spot in the latest rankings in each poll.

Clarkson, who remains in first-place in the ECAC Hockey standings, earned four league points last weekend with two road wins.  The Golden Knights mustered 116 points in the latest USCHO.com Poll and 149 points in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll.  Clarkson is one point ahead of second-place Cornell in the league standings.  The two teams will tangle at Cheel Arena Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. in a conference showdown.  The Golden Knights will first welcome Colgate Friday evening in an intra-league contest.  Junior netminder Lauren Dahm has backboned the Clarkson defense leading the conference in goals-against average (0.84), save percentage (.963), and winning percentage (.885)

Coming off a two-point weekend, where it blanked visiting Union, 4-0 and lost to Rensselaer, Harvard dropped from the No. 6 spot to the No. 7 position in both the USCHO.com Poll receiving 51 points and in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll (65 points).  The Crimson will play one league contest this weekend, as they travel to Dartmouth Friday and one non-league matchup hosting No. 9 Providence Saturday.  The Crimson will try to snap the Friars' 10-game unbeaten streak (8-0-2).

Cornell and Quinnipiac each received votes in both polls as well.
