League Quartet Maintains National Rankings
ALBANY, NY -- Four ECAC Hockey teams - Clarkson, St. Lawrence, Dartmouth, and Harvard continue to earn the respect of the poll voters, as all four teams are once again acknowledged in the national polls released Monday, October 19 and Tuesday October 20.
Despite splitting a two-game set on the road versus Vermont the Golden Knights maintained their No. 4 ranking in the USCHO.com poll and the USA Today/UsA Hockey Magazine poll, earning 86 points and 105 points respectively. Clarkson earned a 4-0 shutout Friday evening, but suffered its first loss in six games with 4-1 setback at the hands of the Catamounts.
St. Lawrence jumped from the No. 8 spot into a tie for the No. 6 spot with 63 points in the USCHO.com poll and from the No. 10 spot to the No. 7 spot in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll (79 points). The Saints recorded road sweep of Robert Morris by counts of 3-2 and 6-3, picking up their first wins of the young season.
Idle Dartmouth moved from the No. 7 position to the No. 6 position in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll (88 points), but fell from the No. 7 position in the USCHO.com poll (62 points) to the No. 8 spot. The Big Green will take to the ice for the first time this season in an exhibition game versus McGill Saturday evening.
Harvard also fell one spot in both polls, moving from the No. 9 position to the No. 10 spot, garnering 23 points in the USCHO.com poll and is now tied for the No. 9 position in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll with 40 points. The Crimson will dust off their skates this weekend as well taking on McGill in an exhibition contest Friday evening.

The 13th annual USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll is conducted each week in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association. The poll includes input from coaches and journalists representing each of the four NCAA Division I ice hockey conferences, as well as composite votes from officers of the AHCA and USA Hockey Magazine, the most widely distributed hockey magazine in the world.
