SYRACUSE, NY - Freshman forward Emma Rambo scored her second
career goal in the second period as the Union College women's ice
hockey team (2-10-1, 0-5-1 ECAC Hockey) lose to Syracuse 4-1 on
Saturday afternoon.
Just over seven minutes into the second period, sophomore forward
Émilie Arseneault assisted Rambo's goal, which tied the game
at one when Syracuse (7-6-1, 3-1-0 College Hockey America) struck
first in the first period on a power play goal, ending the streak
of 23 consecutive penalties killed by the Dutchwomen.
It was also Arseneault's first assist on the season. Arseneault
took nine shots against the Orange, five were in the third
period.
Freshman goaltender Alana Marcinko made 24 saves in front of the
net. Offensively, the Dutchwomen compiled a total of 24 shots.
The Dutchwomen will face Syracuse again on Sunday at 2 p.m. It will
also conclude the road trip.
