SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Lisa Mullen scored with a minute left in overtime to lift her team to a 1-0 win over the Princeton women's hockey team on Saturday afternoon at the Tennity Ice Pavillion.
Mullen's goal came 3:51 into the overtime session to hand the Orange a weekend sweep of the Tigers. Syracuse's goal came on its 19th shot of the game and its fifth shot of overtime. Princeton fired 27 shots on the Syracuse net, but was unable to crack Orange netminder Lucy Shoedel.
Princeton had 27 shots in the game, including 14 the second period. Defensemen Laura Martindale and Sasha Sherry paced the Tigers with five and four shots each in the loss.
Goaltender Rachel Weber made 18 saves.
Princeton falls to 7-8-1 with the loss. The Tigers are off until Dec. 31 when they visit Quinnipiac for a league game.
