One More Makes Four in the Polls
ALBANY, N.Y. -- The Tigers of Princeton returned to the national polls, giving the League four slots in the top 10. Princeton joins regular-season champion Harvard, St. Lawrence and Dartmouth in the latest polls.
Showcasing a six-game unbeaten streak, Princeton (18-9-2 overall and 15-6-1 in ECAC Hockey) received the attention of poll voters, earning the No. 9 position in both polls. The Tigers, who defeated Brown 3-0 Friday and Yale 4-1 Saturday, tallied 38 points in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and 29 points in the USCHO.com poll.
The 2009 regular-season champion Crimson (17-9-3 overall and 16-4-2 in ECAC Hockey) are the highest-ranking League team, registering the No. 7 slot in both the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine (65 points) and USCHO.com (49 points) poll. Harvard claimed its second consecutive League regular-season title by posting a weekend sweep of St. Lawrence (4-0) Friday and Clarkson (6-1) Saturday.
St. Lawrence (22-9-3 overall, 16-5-1) garnered the No. 8 slot in both polls, earning 55 points in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and 45 points in the USCHO.com poll. The Saints split a pair of road games last weekend, falling 4-0 at Harvard Friday before rebounding to post a 4-3 victory at Dartmouth Saturday.
Dartmouth (16-8-4 overall, 13-5-4 in ECAC Hockey) rounded out the representation of the League, occupying the No. 10 slot in both polls. The Big Green tallied 35 points in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and 29 points in the USCHO.com poll. Dartmouth tied Clarkson 4-4 Friday and dropped a 4-3 decision to St. Lawrence Saturday.

The 12th annual USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll is conducted each week in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association. The poll includes input from coaches and journalists representing each of the six NCAA Division I ice hockey conferences, as well as composite votes from officers of the American Hockey Coaches Association and USA Hockey Magazine, the most widely distributed hockey magazine in the world.
The USCHO.com Poll is compiled weekly and consists of 15 voters, including 12 coaches of Division I programs and three women's hockey writers. USCHO.com provides in-depth coverage of college sports, including hockey, lacrosse, soccer and others.
