Top 10 Includes St. Lawrence, Dartmouth and Princeton
ALBANY, N.Y. -- The latest national polls continue to showcase a solid League presence as the trio of St. Lawrence, Dartmouth and Princeton each earned top-10 positions in the polls released Tuesday.
St. Lawrence occupies the nation's No. 5 spot, compiling 110 points in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and 84 points in the USCHO.com poll. The Saints sport a record of 12-5-3 overall and 6-1-1 in ECAC Hockey. St. Lawrence split a two-game series with Boston College last weekend, winning 4-2 Friday and droppingn a 4-1 decision Saturday. The Saints return to League action this weekend as they host Brown and Yale.
The League's top team Dartmouth (11-5-2 overall, 9-3-2 in ECAC
Hockey) is positioned in the No. 7 slot in both polls, registering
82 points in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and 52 points
in the USCHO.com poll. The Big Green posted a 3-0 record in three
road contests last week, defeating Harvard (3-0 Tuesday), Yale (5-2
Friday) and Brown (9-1 Saturday). Dartmouth hosts Providence
Tuesday and travels to New Hampshire Friday.
Winners of four consecutive contests, Princeton (11-8-1 overall,
8-5 in ECAC Hockey) registered the No. 9 slot (30 points) in the
USCHO.com poll and the No. 10 position (26) in the USA Today/USA
Hockey Magazine poll. The Tigers swept road contests at Rensselaer
(3-1) and Union (3-1) last weekend. Princeton is idle until January
27 when it travels to Quinnipiac.

The 12th annual USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll is conducted each week in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association. The poll includes input from coaches and journalists representing each of the six NCAA Division I ice hockey conferences, as well as composite votes from officers of the American Hockey Coaches Association and USA Hockey Magazine, the most widely distributed hockey magazine in the world.
