Polls Feature Three League Championship Semifinalists
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Harvard, St. Lawrence and Dartmouth continued their presence in the national polls, garnering top-10 positions in the latest polls. The trio make up three-fourths of the League championship field.
Regular-season champion and the No. 1 seed in the championship, Harvard (19-9-3 overall and 16-4-2 in ECAC Hockey) earned the No. 7 slot in the USCHO.com poll (53 points) and the No. 8 position in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll (61 points). The Crimson, who host Rensselaer Saturday in League semifinals action, swept visiting Cornell by scores of 3-0 Friday and 4-0 Saturday in quarterfinals action. Harvard has won four consecutive contests.
Similar to Harvard, St. Lawrence (24-9-3 overall, 16-5-1) garnered a No. 7 and No. 8 position in the polls. The Saints occupy the No. 7 slot in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll (73 points) and the No. 8 position in the USCHO.com poll (52 points). The No. 2 seed in the League championship, St. Lawrence The Saints swept visiting Clarkson 2-1 in overtime Friday and 4-3 Saturday to advance to the championship semifinals.
Dartmouth (18-9-4 overall, 13-5-4 in ECAC Hockey) solidified its position at No. 9 in both polls, garnering 38 points in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and 27 points in the USCHO.com poll. Dartmouth outlasted visiting Colgate in three games in quarterfinals play to advance to the championship semifinals. The Big Green dropped a 7-6 overtime decision to the Raiders Friday before rebounding with wins of 2-1 and 7-3 Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

The 12th annual USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll is conducted each week in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association. The poll includes input from coaches and journalists representing each of the six NCAA Division I ice hockey conferences, as well as composite votes from officers of the American Hockey Coaches Association and USA Hockey Magazine, the most widely distributed hockey magazine in the world.
The USCHO.com Poll is compiled weekly and consists of 15 voters, including 12 coaches of Division I programs and three women's hockey writers. USCHO.com provides in-depth coverage of college sports, including hockey, lacrosse, soccer and others.
