A Few Gifts to be Unwrapped

Hockey fans have it good. For most people, the gifts are given,
family departs, the holiday decorations are back in the boxes, and
it's back to digging in for another few months of winter.
But not for puckheads.
Just when it appears that the best is over, the best part of the
season looms. The New Year's showcases, shoot-outs, classics and
tournaments get the teams back into the swing of things after
20-something days of relaxation, and feature as many wild upsets
and spectacular matchups as any other time of the year.
