New Statistical Platform Launched
ALBANY, N.Y. - ECAC Hockey, in collaboration with PrestoSports, today announced the launch of a new interactive statistics platform housed on its Web site (www.ecachockey.com). The new platform provides team and individual statistics sortable by category and, for games streamed via the League's live scoreboard, statistics in real time.
"The new platform is yet another tremendous enhancement to the League site," said Commissioner Steve Hagwell. "This interactive program tied in with the live scoreboard and mobile scoreboard provides visitors to our site with the most up-to-date technology.
"The continued progression of the league Web site is due in large part to the efforts of the first-rate staff at PrestoSports. They continually seek ways to enhance the sites of their clients. This newest enhancement is due to the vision of PrestoSports."
Visitors to the League Web site can glean a host of statistical information ranging from team and individual statistics to statistical breakdowns by game, month and home-and-away contests. In addition, the option to sort statistics by category provides visitors with the ability to compare teams and individuals via the numerous categories with the click of a mouse.
"The ECAC Hockey statistics integration will give this college hockey site professional level statistics," said Serge Knystautas, PrestoSports CEO. The league office and its member institutions have been heavily involved in using technology to promote the league - and we are pleased to work with them to get there."
In the spring of 2007, the League launched its interactive Web site with PrestoSports. The site features information on each of its league members, daily news updates, video clips and, thanks to the new statistical platform and the effort of sports information/publicity staffs at member institutions, instantaneous statistical information from the facilities during league play.
