More of the Same

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The League trio of St. Lawrence, Dartmouth and Harvard continued its presence on the national scene, once again maintaining top-10 positions in both the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine and USCHO.com polls.

The Saints (11-2-3 overall, 6-1-1 in ECAC Hockey) hold the No. 4 position in both polls, registering 136 points in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and 110 points in the USCHO.com poll. St. Lawrence, which is tied with Dartmouth atop the ECAC Hockey standings with 13 points, earned three of four League points last weekend, defeating visiting Colgate 3-1 Friday and skating to a 4-4 tie against the visiting Big Red.

Dartmouth (7-3-1 overall, 6-1-1 in ECAC Hockey), which was idle last week and does not resume play until December 17 versus Harvard, maintains its position at No. 5 slot in both polls, registering 112 points in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and 87 points in the USCHO.com poll. The Big Green rank tied for first in League play with St. Lawrence (13 points).

Harvard (4-4-3 overall and 4-2-2 in ECAC Hockey), which skated to a 1-1 draw at New Hampshire last week, ranks tied for No. 9 in the USCHO.com poll and No. 10 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll. The Crimson registered 32 points in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and 30 points in the USCHO.com poll.

The 12th annual USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll is conducted each week in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association. The poll includes input from coaches and journalists representing each of the six NCAA Division I ice hockey conferences, as well as composite votes from officers of the American Hockey Coaches Association and USA Hockey Magazine, the most widely distributed hockey magazine in the world.

The USCHO.com Poll is compiled weekly and consists of 15 voters, including 12 coaches of Division I programs and three women's hockey writers. USCHO.com provides in-depth coverage of college sports, including hockey, lacrosse, soccer and others.
