Four Scores in Third Lift Golden Knights
Providence, NY - Freshman Juana Baribeau (Amos,
QUE) started a four-goal outburst late in the third period as the
Clarkson University Women's Hockey team got back on track with a
6-0 shutout victory over Brown University in ECAC Hockey action
Friday night.
The Golden Knights improved to 3-4-2 overall with the
season-opening league victory, ending a two-game winless streak.
Brown fell to 1-3-1 overall. Clarkson will look to continue its
unbeaten start in league play against Yale on Saturday
afternoon.
The Green and Gold dominated throughout, never allowing the Bears
more than five shots in any period, including a 15-3 edge in the
first period. Junior Britney Selina (Thornhill, ONT) started the
scoring off early for the Knights with her first goal of the season
at 5:23 in the opening frame with an assist going to senior

until midway through the second period as Clarkson tallied
just once out of 19 shots in the second frame. Freshman Danielle
Boudreau (Whitby, ONT) scored at 7:35, her second goal of the
season, with assists going to O'Connor and sophomore Melissa Waldie
(Newmarket, ONT).
