ALBANY, N.Y. -- The North Country tandem of Clarkson and St. Lawrence continued their ascent up the league standings, garnering crucial points Friday. Saints senior forward Sabrina Harbec netted crucial points of her own, setting a standard previously unattained.

At St. Lawrence 6, Cornell 2:  Senior Sabrina Harbec recorded three assists to become the first player in St. Lawrence history to eclipse the 200-career point mark, and juniors Marianna Locke and Carson Duggan, and freshman Karell Emard each scored two goals as the Saints recorded their 18th consecutive victory over Cornell. The Saints, who moved past idle Dartmouth into second place in the league standings, have not lost to the Big Red since January 23, 2000. St. Lawrence improved to 16-7-0 overall and 9-2 in league play; Cornell dropped to 8-8-1 overall and 5-5-1 in league play.

At Clarkson 3, Colgate 1: The Golden Knights recorded their third straight victory over the Raiders as three players scored and freshman Eve Grandmont-Berube posted 23 saves before 203 fans at Cheel Arena. The Golden Knights broke a scoreless tie with a pair of goals less than three minutes apart to seal the win. Junior Marie-Jo Gaudet opened the scoring with her 13th goal of the campaign with only five seconds remaining in the opening period, and freshman Melissa Waldie added her 15th of the season only two minutes, 20 seconds into the second period.

Brown 5, at Niagara 2: Senior captains Rylee Olewinski and Hayley Moore scored two goals apiece, and junior assistant captain Nicole Stock  continued her solid play in goal, registering 39 saves, as the Bears beat the host Purple Eagles at Dwyer Arena. The 39-save outing marks the 12th game in 18 starts this season that Stock has stopped 30 or more shots. Sophomore Andrea Hunter, who had a goal and an assist, scored what proved to be the game-winning goal when she tallied her third goal of the season at 2:33 of the second period.

At Rensselaer 1, Robert Morris 0:  Junior defenseman Melanie Guillemette broke a scoreless tie at 15:10 of the third period to lift Rensselaer over visiting Robert Morris. The victory was No. 10 on the season for the Engineers, who improved to 10-8-4 overall. The Engineers got on the scoresheet when senior Brooke Thompson carried the puck into the Colonials' zone, sent a quick backhanded pass to the stick of Julie Aho, who waited in the slot. Aho chipped the puck over to Guillemette in the left circle, who put the puck past netminder Brianne McLaughlin for her seventh goal of the season. Rensselaer goaltender Sonja van der Bliek posted 31 saves in recording the shutout.

At Mercyhurst 5, Yale 3: Juniors Maggie Westfal and Crysti Howser tallied first period power-play goals, and senior goaltender Shivon Zilis compiled 45 saves, but it was not enough for the visiting Bulldogs as No. 6 Mercyhurst netted three third-period goals to skate victory. Zilis kept Yale even at 2 after two periods, stopping 30 of 32 shots. The Lakers held a 32-10 shots advantage after two periods. Valerie Chouinard broke the deadlock with a power-play goal at 6:35 of the third period.

At Wayne State 6, Quinnipiac 2: Trudy Reyns and Elyse Cole each scored unassisted goals, but it was not enough as the host Warriors scored five second-period goals to skate past the visiting Bobcats. Reyns netted a short-handed goal, her second man-down goal of the season and fourth overall; Cole scored her team-leading eighth goal of the campaign and in the process extended her five-game point-scoring streak.
