ALBANY, N.Y.  -- League members look to take advantage of the comforts of home this weekend as 10 of 13 non-league regular-season contests will be played at ECAC Hockey facilities. In addition, Quinnipiac and Princeton open League play Sunday at Baker Rink.

Highlighting the weekend is Princeton's season-opening game versus No. 7 Boston College Friday and Sunday's match-up versus Quinnipiac; and Colgate and St. Lawrence playing host to the Hockey East duo of Connecticut and Providence.

Cornell and Rensselaer, like Colgate and St. Lawrence, host a pair of games versus Hockey East foes as the Big Red take on undefeated Vermont, while the Engineers host Maine. Union, under first-year head coach Claudia Asano, seeks its first wins of the season as it travels to Wayne State, while Clarkson takes to the road to face Robert Morris.

Harvard, No. 6 in the latest national poll, hosts McGill in two exhibition games Friday and Saturday; Yale hosts McGill at Ingalls Rink Sunday to commence its 2007-08 campaign.

Princeton opens its campaign against Boston College for the second consecutive season. In 2006-07, Princeton battled Boston College to a 2-2 overtime time October 20 at Boston College. Coach Jeff Kampersal's Tigers' squad features 12 upperclassmen--five seniors and seven juniors.

Quinnipiac, like Princeton, seeks to jump to the top of the League standings in the first game of the League campaign. The Bobcats sports a 1-1 overall record having defeated Northeastern before dropping a 4-2 decision to nationally ranked Boston College.

Colgate, which dropped a pair of hard-fought decisions to No. 7 Boston College and No. 3 New Hampshire last weekend, seeks to enter the win column versus Providence and Connecticut. Colgate will rely heavily on the goaltending tandem of Elayna Hamashuk and Lisa Plenderleith this weekend. The duo allowed only four goals on 66 shots versus Boston College and New Hampshire.

St. Lawrence, which returns to its first action since splitting a weekend series with No. 3 New Hampshire October 5-6, looks to make it two straight victories when they fact Connecticut Friday. The Saints host Providence Saturday. Saints' all-Americans Sabrina Harbec and Annie Guay have figured in the scoring on all five Saints' goals this season, but look to break through in the goals column against the Hockey East duo.

Clarkson, which has not lost in four games thus far, seeks to keep the streak intact as it takes to the road for the first time this season. The Golden Knights, who have outscored opponents by an average margin of 6-to-1, are led by offensively by Genevieve Lavoie and Britney Selina.

Rensselaer, which is fresh off a home weekend sweep of North Dakota, looks for similar results versus visiting Maine; Cornell opens its campaign against 4-0 Vermont at Lynah Rink.
