
Quarterfinals Hosts Among Nation's Best

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The four quarterfinals hosts for league
postseason play enter the weekend among the nation's best, earning
slots in the latest polls.
Earning a place in the polls for the 21st consecutive week, Harvard
(27-1) remains the No. 1 team in the land. The
Crimson received 18 of 19 first-place votes (189 points) in
the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and 10 of 15
first-place votes (145 points) in the USCHO.com poll.
St. Lawrence (25-8-1) continued its hold on a top-10 ranking,
garnering the No. 6 slot in both polls. The Saints
tallied 101 points in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll
and 85 points in the USCHO.com poll.
Clarkson (22-7-5) also held steady, earning the No. 9 slot in both
polls. The Golden Knights garnered 38 points in the
USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and 27 points in the
USCHO.com poll.
Dartmouth (16-7-6) secured the No. 10 slot in the USCHO.com poll. The Big Green tallied 17 points.
About the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll: The 11th annual poll is conducted each week in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association. The poll includes input from coaches and journalists representing each of the six NCAA Division I ice hockey conferences, as well as composite votes from officers of the American Hockey Coaches Association and USA Hockey Magazine, the most widely distributed hockey magazine in the world.
