
National Polls Feature Trio

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The league trio of Harvard, St. Lawrence and Clarkson continued to maintain a presence on the national scene, once again earning positions in the latest national polls.
Harvard, currently atop the league standings, remains atop the national rankings, earning top points totals in both the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine and USCHO.com polls. St. Lawrence and Clarkson also appears in the top 10 in both polls.
The Crimson (22-1 overall) received 18 of 19 first-place votes
(189 points) in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll
and 10 of 15 first-place votes (145 points) in the USCHO.com
poll. Harvard is fresh off of a weekend sweep of Union and
Rensselaer.
The Saints of St. Lawrence (21-8-1 overall) rank No. 6 nationally
in both polls. St. Lawrence tallied 90 points in the USA
Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and 72 points in the USCHO.com
poll.
Clarkson continues to occupy the No. 9 slot in both polls,
garnering 43 points in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll
and 36 points in the USCHO.com poll.
About the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll: The 11th annual poll is conducted each week in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association. The poll includes input from coaches and journalists representing each of the six NCAA Division I ice hockey conferences, as well as composite votes from officers of the American Hockey Coaches Association and USA Hockey Magazine, the most widely distributed hockey magazine in the world.
