Preseason National Poll Includes League Trio

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - St. Lawrence, Harvard and Dartmouth garnered top-10 spots in the preseason USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll.

St. Lawrence, the ECAC Hockey coaches' preseason favorite, occupy the No. 4 slot, accumulating 128 points.

Harvard earned the No. 6 slot, registering 84 total points; Dartmouth claimed the No. 9 slot with a total of 32 points.

Wisconsin, the two-time defending NCAA champion, is No. 1 in the poll. The Badgers accumulated all 19 first-place votes for 190 points to top Mercyhurst (165) and the New Hampshire (131).

ABOUT THE POLL: The 11th annual USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll is conducted each week in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association. The poll includes input from coaches and journalists representing each of the six NCAA Division I ice hockey conferences, as well as composite votes from officers of the American Hockey Coaches Association and USA Hockey Magazine, the most widely distributed hockey magazine in the world.
