
Cahow, Parsons Participating at Performance Evaluation Camp
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Harvard senior defenseman Caitlin Cahow and Dartmouth sophomore forward Sarah Parsons are among a group of 22 of the top female hockey players in the country participating in USA Hockey's second annual Women's National Performance Evaluation Camp at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The training camp, which runs Monday, June 9 through Saturday, June 14, is off-ice and features weight training, yoga, testing and lectures, as well as a hike up the Manitou Springs Incline.
In addition to Cahow and Parsons, the group of 22 includes ECAC Hockey alums Julie Chu (Harvard), Angela Ruggiero (Harvard and Megan Van Beusekom (Princeton).
Teena Murray, strength and conditioning coach for the U.S. Women's National Program, will lead the camp, with assistance from Michele Amidon, USA Hockey's director of women's hockey operations, and Olympian Jamie Hagerman, a former Harvard standout.
The camp roster, which can be accessed by clicking here, includes 18 players from the gold medal-winning 2008 U.S. Women's National Team and a total of nine Olympians.
