
Canada Camp Roster Includes Eight League Standouts
CALGARY -- Eight ECAC Hockey standouts are among 51 of Canada's top under-22 women's players who will converge on Calgary, Alberta May 28-31 for a strength and conditioning camp, Hockey Canada's National Women's Team head coach/general manager Melody Davidson announced Friday.
The eight League standouts are: goaltenders Carli Clemis of Dartmouth, Christina Kessler of Harvard, and Kristen Young of Princeton; defensemen Brittaney Maschmeyer and Britni Smith of St. Lawrence; and forwards Karell Emard of St. Lawrence, Samantha Hunt of Colgate and Rebecca Johnston of Cornell.
Seventeen of the 51 invitees played on Canada's 2007-08 National Women's Under-22 Team, including Hunt, Johnston and Smith. Johnston also has experience with the National Women's Team.
