Officials Appointed to International Events
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Five individuals who serve as ECAC Women's Hockey on-ice officials are among 20 officials appointed to International Ice Hockey Federation sanctioned events this season, USA Hockey today announced. The list of 20 totals seven individuals who are assigned league contests (men and women).
David Brown (Wall Township, NJ), Danyel Howard (Auburn, MA); Megan Hishmeh (Kinnelon, NJ); Bob Ritchie (Scotch Plains, NJ) and Andrea Weissman (Philadelphia, PA) will be assigned to international events this season. Brown, Howard, Hishmeh and Ritchie are returning to IIHF competition; Weissman will officiate internationally for the first time. Brown and Ritchie also serve as ECAC Men's Hockey on-ice officials.
Howard will receive assignments at the World Women's Under-18 Championship January 7-12, 2008 in Calgary, Alberta; Hishmeh will receive assignments at the Women's World Championship April 4-13, 2008 in Harbin, China; Andrea Weissman will receive assignments at the Women's World Championship, Division III April 6-12, 2008 in Miskolc, Hungary; and Brown and Ritchie will receive assignments at the World Men's Under-18 Championship April 13-23, 2008 in Kazan, Russia.
