Big Red Blanked By No. 8 Dartmouth

Hanover, NH -- The Big Red women's hockey team was blanked by Dartmouth, 8-0, on Saturday afternoon. The Big Green, who is ranked eighth in the country, improves to 11-4-1 for the season and is 8-3 against ECAC Hockey.

Cornell moves to 7-6-1, and is 4-3-1 in league action.   Dartmouth scored five goals in the first period to take the lead in the game and never looked back. The Big Green scored three more goals in the second period to seal an 8-0 win.  

Sophomore Jenny Niesluchowski was in net for the Big Red in the first period making 13 saves. Freshman Katie Wilson made her first appearance in net for Cornell in the second and third periods making 14 saves against the Big Green.  

Cornell will return to home action next weekend when it will face Rensselaer and Union in Lynah Rink. The Big Red will play at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12.
