
Princeton Falls at St. Lawrence
CANTON, NY -- St. Lawrence scored twice in the
opening 3:24 of Friday night's game and pulled away for a 9-2 win
over the Princeton women's hockey team on Friday night at Appleton
Arena. Juniors Monica

Greenwood scored in the loss.
Chelsea Grills and Lisa Batchelor scored in the opening period for
St. Lawrence and gave the Saints a lead they would not relinquish.
St. Lawrence added to its total with five goals in the second
period. Tara Akstull scored the game winner at 6:06 and Marianna
Locke, Grills and Sabrina Harbec added goals in the period.
After St. Lawrence made the score 8-0, Brennan put Princeton on the
board with her first goal of the season from freshman Caroline
Park and senior Sonja
Novak. Then Greenwood scored her team-leading 13th goal from junior
Christine
Foster.
Junior Kristen
Young made 23 saves in the loss.
Princeton fell to 12-10-6 overall and 10-8-3 in the league. The
loss eliminated Princeton from home-ice contention in the ECAC
Hockey playoffs. Princeton will finish either fifth or sixth. The
Tigers visit Clarkson tomorrow at 4 p.m.
