HAMILTON, NY -- Thanks to a second-period score
from sophomore defenseman Carlee Eusepi (Oakville, ONT), the
Clarkson University Women's Hockey team earned a 1-1 tie against
Colgate on Saturday afternoon, earning an ECAC Hockey playoff berth
in the process.
Clarkson moved to 19-6-5 overall and 10-5-3, picking up its 23rd
conference point of the season to clinch a playoff spot for the
fourth time in its four years of eligibility for the post-season
tournament. Colgate helped solidify its playoff chances as well
with four league games remaining, improving to 11-12-5 overall and
8-5-4 in the ECAC.
Jacquie Colborne scored the Raiders' lone goal of the contest,
putting Colgate up 1-0 in the first period at 13:41 with assists

of the season at 4:09 of the second period, just four seconds after
the conclusion of a Clarkson power-play opportunity. The team's
leading playmaker, Genevieve Lavoie (Delson, QUE) picked up her
23rd assist of the season, and Melissa Waldie (Newmarket, ONT) also
earned her 14th assist of the year.
