Princeton Overwhelms Union
SCHENECTADY, NY -- Annie Greenwood scored two goals and Maddie
Endicott had a goal and an assist to lead the Princeton Tigers to a
7-0 victory over the Union College Dutchwomen Friday night in ECAC
Hockey. The Tigers improve to 6-7-2 overall and 4-5-1 in ECAC
Hockey play while the Dutchwomen fall to 1-14-0 overall and 0-7-0
in league play.
The Dutchwomen held the Tigers scoreless in the first period behind
goalie Lunday Day (Calgary, AB). Princeton would fire 23 shots at
the Union goalie, but Day was able to stop each shot.
The Tigers would find their offensive stride in the second period,
scoring five goals, including two from Greenwood. In the period
Princeton would score two of their goals on the power-play.
Marykate Oakley and Monica Brennan would add two more goals for
Princeton in the third period for a final score of 7-0.
Day and Danielle Kimble (Reston, VA) would combine to stop 53 Tiger
shots. Kristen Young shut the Dutchwomen out in net for Princeton
stopping all 9 shots she faced.
Union returns to ECAC Hockey action tomorrow as they host
Quinnipiac at 3:00 pm.
