USCHO.com Presents First Broadcast Women's Game Of The Week

MINNEAPOLIS - Beginning this November, USCHO.com will present the first-ever national game of the week Internet broadcast for NCAA women's hockey. Fans will be able to access the live game feeds through the broadcast schedule soon to be linked from the USCHO women's homepage, www.uscho.com/women.

The inaugural broadcast schedule includes 21 regular-season games spread across the four Division I conferences. The schedule features appearances by all 10 schools in the 2004-05 USCHO/CSTV preseason poll, including defending NCAA champion Minnesota, three-time national champion Minnesota-Duluth, and 2004 Frozen Four participants Harvard, Dartmouth and St. Lawrence.

Other highlights include a special Thanksgiving marathon of five broadcasts in five days, headlined by a rematch of the 2004 NCAA Championship game between Harvard and Minnesota, as well as a three- game set to close the regular season slate. The postseason broadcast schedule will be unveiled at a later date.

In addition, USCHO.com is proud to offer a special connection to the sport's history as a number of former college stars will return to provide color commentary for the Game of the Week. Scheduled guest analysts include former Patty Kazmaier Award winners and Olympic gold medalists Angela Ruggiero (Harvard '04) and A.J. Mleczko (Harvard '99), as well as three-time Hockey East/ECAC East All-Star Kristen Thomas (New Hampshire '04). Additional alumnae from other schools will be announced shortly.

Brian Schulz will handle the play-by-play. Schulz called men's and women's hockey games for Harvard University from 1999-2001, and also broadcast the 2001 and 2004 World Women's Hockey Championships.
