ECACHL Releases Results of First-Ever Fan Poll
ALBANY, N.Y. - The ECAC Hockey League opened up the polls to its fans to find out who they believe will win this year's conference races. A total of 32 men's ballots were cast and 17 women's, and the top picks were the Cornell men and the Harvard women.
Fans submitted their lists for predicted order of finish through the league's new website, www.ecachockeyleague.com. Interactive fan activities will take place all season long at the site.

Cornell topped the men's list with 353 points and 15 first-place votes. It's was a tight race, though, with Dartmouth second by just a few votes, scoring 351 points and 14 first-place votes. These two teams were also picked in tight voting among the league's coaches and media. Cornell topped the coaches' list, while Dartmouth was the pick of the media.
Cornell starts regular-season action this Friday (Oct. 29) with a home game vs. Army, while Dartmouth plays host to Quinnipiac on Saturday. The Big Green's game vs. the Bobcats is being televised by both NESN and CSTV.
On the women's side, Harvard earned 174 points and six first-place nods. Dartmouth was second with 167 points and nine first-place votes. The Big Green was the top choice among the league coaches in their preseason poll, with the Crimson second.
Harvard opens its season Friday, Nov. 5 vs. Colgate, while Dartmouth is in action this Friday (Oct. 29) vs. Boston College.
