    CHICAGO, IL — Nineteen different Division I hockey-playing schools can celebrate players honored as CCM/AHCA Hockey All-Americans for the 2016-17 season. The nation's top 25 college hockey players were announced tonight at the NCAA Men's Division I Frozen Four in Chicago. Denver has five honorees while Harvard, Omaha, St. Lawrence and Union each had two selections.

    LAKE PLACID, New York – Quinnipiac men's ice hockey senior captain Derek Smith (Apple Valley, Minnesota) was honored as the 2017 ECAC Hockey Scholar Athlete of the Year. Smith is the first Quinnipiac men's ice hockey play to receive the prestigious award since its inception in 2007.

    ALBANY, N.Y. -- ECAC Hockey this evening announced the pairings for the 2017 ECAC Men's Hockey Championship featuring Quinnipiac vs. Harvard and Cornell vs. Union facing-off in the semifinal contests. The event marks the 56th overall championship and the 14th time at historic 1980 Rink - Herb Brooks Arena, Lake Placid N.Y., which hosted the league’s marquee event from 1993-2002, as well as the last three years.
