Alex Lyon stopped 94 of 95 shots — yes, you read that right -- as the Lehigh Valley Phantoms won the longest game in the history of the American Hockey League on Wednesday night.

The Phantoms outlasted the Charlotte Checkers in five overtimes while you were sleeping, registering a 2-1 victory in the longest game in the 82-year history of the AHL .

The game that began shortly after 7 p.m. EDT Wednesday night ended at 1:09 a.m. Thursday morning after more than seven periods and 146 minutes and 48 seconds of play.
