NEW HAVEN — Wins have been tougher
to come by of late and on Monday the Yale men’s hockey team
didn’t receive a single vote in the national polls for the
first time in over three years.
But coach Keith Allain can’t find much to fault with the
Bulldogs (8-7-2, 5-4-1), winner of only three of their last 10
games entering this weekend’s ECAC Hockey series with No. 12
Union (Friday, 7 p.m.) and Rensselaer (Saturday, 7 p.m.) at Ingalls
Rink.
“I’m really pleased with the way we’re
playing,” Allain said prior to practice Thursday. “I
don’t think we got the result we deserved last weekend. As
pleased as I am with the way we played last week, I’m more
pleased with the way we approached this week at practice. Our guys
were upbeat, they were positive, they were working. My expectation
is that we’ll play great this weekend.”
